info

Machina Mundi is a new Danish band that takes inspiration from the legendary Weather Report, especially the use of various types of synthesizers and effects. In terms of sound and rhythms, Chris Potter's Underground is one of the main inspirations. The Czech saxophonist Luboš Soukup, known for his quartet or from the bands Points, Inner Spaces, Freetown Quartet or Concept Art Orchestra (CAO), is the leader of the Machina Mundi project. He brings his sophisticated compositions to the project, in which elegant, thoughtful melodies soar above the smart grooves. There are also exciting solos to delight the audience. The harmonic world of Machina Mundi is as dark as the Scandinavian sky and the band's pulsating rhythms are as lively as the streets of New York. He is backed by two Swedes, keyboardist William Larsson and drummer Daniel Johansson. Canadian Graig Earle plays bass.
