You Man lance un écho au retour du vivant sur la scène de la house. Un écho qui ressemble à toutes les époques de la Musique, car pour eux la Musique est un son, pas un genre. Ainsi, ils invitent constamment leur public à partager en les faisant participer au projet. Par exemple en leur proposant de jouer à une chasse au trésor à l’échelle du Monde. La sortie de l’EP «Restless» et de Birdcage en 2014 sur Alpage Records marque une étape de plus dans cette relation qui a véritablement commencé à la fin du XXème siècle. Tepat & Giac sont liés par une histoire étrange née un soir d’été en 1996. Ils sont maintenant liés par ce projet, et travaillent à composer de nouveaux titres qu’ils expérimentent et partagent en public dès que l’occasion leur est donnée. You Man tente de traduire en musique l’apologie du lâcher-prise, sur le dancefloor, par la danse, mais aussi celle de l’imprévu, du hasard, bref du «vivant» et de l’humain.

You Man is the new project by Giac and Tepat. Former members of the Auto band, the two guitar players have decided to explore new horizons and put aside their pop culture to embrace the clubbing sounds. A new name means a fresh start. Under this new identity, they’re launching production on their new EP: Restless. Clubber geek Tepat and audio-astronaut Giac play mix and move with their musical influences. Their uniqueness and creativity get them spotted by Alpage Records, an independent label which welcomes them with open arms. “Restless”, a 4 tracks EP, develops a retro-visionary idea, a temporal paradox created by a mix of sounds, from the eighties as well as from the future. A world which, whatever one thinks of it, wouldn’t have existed without them. With You Man, there’s one clear objective: Dancing. A fifteen-year old complicity is felt throughout their hypnotic music and live performances. The “Birdcage” music video, released on November the 30th, an aesthetically perfect loop made from collected and put-together gifs, is a visualization of their universe. ”Birdcage” is the “cage that imprisons your soul”, Old-School and dark at the same time. These extremes make up the heart and soul of their project. To work with machines, create house music, bordering on trance. Those two human beings will make you travel so far, you’ll lose all perception of time and space.
