In the period from 8 to 14 of November of 2017 a tour through several European countries will introduce to each other the local actors and guest artists from Russia and Ukraine by means of new music and conversation. This project is made by online platform devoted to created people and spaces in Europe http://peoplelovespaces.net/ .

The event will present live shows in a wide variety of genres, from indie pop and urban indie folk to avant-garde electronics:

Advokaty (Kiev) https://dzierzynskibitz.bandcamp.com/ Advokaty is the reincarnation of the band Dzierzynski Bitz, which the Russian musician Evgeny Ivanenko founded in 2009 in Moscow. Six years ago he moved to Kiev (Ukraine), where his project was joined by local musicians. Dzierzynski Bitz' music was a mix of soviet era pop and minimalistic new wave patterns, with a touch of the Eastern European orchestras of the 30–50's (according to the mythological world created by the members of the band, Dzierzynski Bitz was based in “inner Slovakia”). In 2017, Evgeny formed a new project called Advokaty (Lawyers), together with a Ukrainian drummer Denis Shvets, previously member of rock band Ya I drug moy gruzovik (Me and My Friend, the Truck).

Ambidextrous (Moscow) https://soundcloud.com/ambidextrous Ambidextrous is the stage name for Nick Zavriev, an electronic musician from Moscow. His solo work primarily focuses on IDM and ambient, but he is also involved in a number of side projects ranging from trip-hop to post-rock. In addition to his music career, Nick is a prominent music journalist and a software engineering high school teacher. Nick has released over 10 albums since the start of his career in the late 90s. His music has been released on U-cover, n5MD, Toytronic. m3rck and many more.

Lovozero (Moscow) https://soundcloud.com/lvzr_tk Anastasia Tolchneva (stage name: Lovozero) is an interdisciplinary artist, with a focus on sound media and physical artistic practices. As part of her dance practice, she recently made a performance at the exhibition of a German-British artist Tino Sehgal in Moscow. Lovozero's debut album «Moroka» is full of hints at "wave music” and post-club microgenres but the scale of composition and production is way beyond the typical expectations of “bedroom tracks”. Full of digital sheen, cold synth lines are more than an accompanient for Anastasia’s powerful voice rooted in Northern Russian folk tradition. Anastasia’s live sets are accompanied by a video art created by a Russian artist Vj Haust (Darya Beskorsaya).

Iuliia Nakaryakova (Krasnoyarsk/St.Petersburg) https://soundcloud.com/…-nakariakova Yulia is a Singer-songwriter from the Siberian city of Krasnoyarsk, now based in St. Petersburg. She began her musical career in a folk-pop duo «Lemonday», which was a bright phenomenon of the St. Petersburg underground scene. Her solo project develops naive urban folk, with bright lyrics and minimalist pop melodies. In addition to musical activity, Julia is a member of the team of an independent art venue «Pianobar Niko» in St. Petersburg.

The project will bring a diverse musical showcase, but will also allow for a reflection of experiences and challenges of contemporary cultural production: In what urban context and conditions do the cultural actors operate? What are their possibilities of making their living and having an impact? What can be done to support their international collaboration and mobility.

In the period from 8 to 14 of November of 2017 the showcase will visit Budapest (Auróra), Prague (Palac Akropolis), Wroclaw (Firlej) and Berlin (Barkett).
