A band on the run from their home country – that's Pussy Riot. The punk and feminist group, led by founder Maria Alyokhina, will perform at Prague's Akropolis Palace in September. The group has been one of the most important voices criticizing the regime in Russia since its „punk prayer“ happening at Moscow's Christ the Saviour Cathedral. In a trial that has been internationally watched, three of them were sentenced to two years in a labour camp. Practically in exile, they decided to fight the Russian regime through concerts and happenings. As Maria Alyokhina says: „Every action against war and hatred is important.“ In addition to her, Olga Borisova, Diana Burkot and Taso Pletner will perform at the concert.

Part of the proceeds from the concert will go towards the reconstruction of the Ohmatdyt children's hospital in Kiev. Last year's tour managed to raise 50,000 euros.
