New wave funk will light up the Akropolis Palace. Prague-based American artist Piqi Miqi and Hungarian musician Perrin will perform tonight.

Piqi Miqi

Jared Bailey was born in Connecticut, USA. However, he discovered his passion for making music in Prague, where he has lived for several years. He released his first single as Piqi Miqi in 2016 and gradually added more and more energy, colour, sex appeal and other elements of sci-fi funk to his music. Last year he released his debut album Toxic Funkulinity, led by the hit Funk Upon a Time. Piqi Miqi is known for his intimate atmosphere and for blurring the imaginary boundaries between the crowd and the stage in his live performances.

Perrin Soma Palotai aka Perrin is one of the most prominent young musical voices coming out of Budapest. Reflecting the diversity of the Hungarian capital on his debut EP High on Glitter from 2021, Perrin's mix of indie pop, funk and summer euphoria has been heard on radio and in clubs across Europe. In April, he's set to play his debut show at Prague's Akropolis Palace.

Josef Baierl will close the evening with his DJ set. Afterparty is organized in cooperation with Akropolis Underground. Vojtěch Tkáč, music publicist and presenter of Radio 1, is behind the dramaturgy of the Pulse series at Akropolis Palace.
