Magical world of stages with the atmosphere of hot expectation, brilliant rhythms, thrilling emotions, fleeting lights and rich music impressions – that is the never-ending event circle by Jan Juránek.

Objective lens as the basic expression mean is replaced by traditional paintbrush and the attempt for a content priority of exclamation is dominating over the formal facet. The author deliberately doesn´t favour to any musical genre, because he believes that Prague has long ago maintained an aura of top world musical scene with sophisticated listeners. The offer is thus well-deserved reward for the Czech fan including the author himself. The exhibition is presenting its own point of view on the unique balancing performances of great names from the world and home alternative scene, offering the perceptive eye permanent photographic challenges. Each concert is a new inspiration and many of these unforgettable music moments could be taken, after some time, as a turning point and especially as documentary valuable event. The first scene performance often means a stable and uncertain way leading to the hope that the expression does not fade and does not become just the part of the mainstream mannerism. For Juránek – the photographer – the new musical event is a welcoming opportunity to enrich his musical photo-archive. The author has graduated from Prague AVU, he is fine-artist, photographer, adventurer, hedonist, antiquity lover and lonely admirer of industrial history; freelancer since 1984.

Interests: free, reportage, street and fine-art photography, photo-collage, interior decorations, creation of CD and DVD booklets, flyers researches. His own photos serve to Jiránek as a mere connecting ling between the documented experience and the final fine-art record. He is permanently appealed to alternative & underground, rock, world-music and non-aggressive music styles.
