Oldřich Hamera is not only one of the stars of the structurist school of graphic art; he was also a long-term friend of the legends of the Prague art scene – Vladímír Boudník and Bohumil Hrabal. And so we can meet him not only on the TV screen in documentaries about these distinguished personalities, but also in O. Sommerová’s film O čem sni muží, as well as in Hrabal’s text Tribute to Barrande. However, he is above all an outstanding graphic artist and illustrator, continuing to be inspired by paleontology and geology – the world of fossils, rocks and minerals.
