The British trio Mammal Hands returns to Palác Akropolis to present their new album Circadia, set for release in spring 2026, as part of the Spectaculare Festival. The Norwich-based band once again proves that jazz can be hypnotic, danceable, and deeply meditative all at once – and that three musicians alone can create a sound world pulsing like a living organism. The evening will open with Danish duo Bremer/McCoy, whose gentle, dreamlike sound will set the tone for a night where jazz becomes a space for both body and mind.
Mammal Hands are formed by brothers Jordan and Nick Smart, joined by their new drummer Rob Turner, whose background with GoGo Penguin brings a unique approach and a distinctly dance-driven groove to their sound. Signed to the prestigious Gondwana Records, they share a roster with artists such as Hania Rani, Portico Quartet, and GoGo Penguin. Their live performances are celebrated for their telepathic interplay and emotional depth. As The Guardian once wrote: “A classic jazz trio mutating into a rave project.” After several sold-out Prague shows, Mammal Hands return with a new set – deep, pulsating, and untamed.
Opening the night will be Copenhagen-based duo Bremer/McCoy , known for their subtle blend of double bass and piano, creating meditative soundscapes that feel like a soundtrack to slow breathing and quiet reflection. Signed to David Byrne’s Luaka Bop label, they have become synonymous with Scandinavian lightness and spiritual depth. Their Prague debut will offer a serene counterpoint to the evening’s energy.
Mammal Hands and Bremer/McCoy are the next music projects announced for the lineup of the 13th edition of the Spectaculare audiovisual festival, taking place across various venues in Prague from March 5 to April 10. The full program is currently being revealed gradually at spectaculare.cz.
