Maxim Horovic: I see only shadow in the shadows
Every picture is a narrative; each photography is silent about light, about the silence it mainly seeks. Nowadays we quite overuse the word ritual when it comes to a music concert, in reality we are only too shy to find something that could be labelled as kitschy or postmodern. But there are portraits which show more than star cult (the twisted semi-gods), they show the stripped loneliness in the middle of a crowd, silent torrent undetectable by microphones. There is a man, there is an idea of God, because even a dead body is still God. And then there are some moments too fleeting to be captured in a memory. Flashes of ecstasy that cannot be covered with words. The ecstasy of a howling man (is the howling dog an artist?), who has many questions and he keeps asking them all over again. Where there are no answers to the questions: I am presenting something in the darkness. We are waiting for a revelation as well as the one on the stage. What about the God?
