"SunSay'' is one of those rare bands that have their own
understanding of music, creation and style. They don't adopt it from anybody
and they don't enforce it to anyone.
The name of the band almost speaks for itself: when Sun was leader of the
well-known band „5nizza'', Sun formed his own saying of what real
high quality music is. That is why the birth of a new band was natural, and what
band name could be more simple and natural than – ''SunSay“.
Step by step the band was accompanied with interesting professional
musicians. Currently the band consists of the following artists:
Sun-vocal – lyrics. Sirodzha – guitar. Roman Krishnaite – bass. Sergey Balalaev – drums. Sergey Klevensky – clarinet and ethno woodwind instruments. Ephim Chupahin – keyboards.
''SunSay'' debut album initially was supposed to be the third
album of the band „5nizza“. It is a real creative experiment,
searching and exploring with different moods and styles: you can find funk,
hip-hop, soul, a bit of jazz and even punk-rock.
The second album is going to be recorded in a more determined style: there
will be more of ethno-soul, hip-hop and funk, it is to be released in 2009.
It’s no wonder all the music of „SunSay“ breathes with
spirituality and high values as Sun and the core members of the band has been
practicing Buddhism for several years. The song
„Sonya's Dream“ is especially touching as Sun has dedicated
it to his newborn daughter Sonya. The band „SunSay“ is currently on
tour in Europe and the CIS countries with great success.
