Australian singer-songwriter and producer Ry Cuming, known as RY X, will play for the first time in Prague. He will present his anticipated second record Unfurl which will be released on February 15th via Infectious. “I think my mission statement was simply to remain vulnerable and to capture that within this album. The inspirations change each time, and I always want to allow that process to be free, to draw on new ideas and sounds and instrumentation. But what feels consistently important to me is keeping a sense of rawness and honesty in the work. I did a lot of conversation with myself on deeper conceptual ideas with hint of healthy existentialism,” RY X comments. One of his first song Let Your Spirit Fly appeared on the soundtrack of the 2006 film Hoot. The power of quietly intense, passionate music to pull audiences in to an intimate space is something the Australian-born (now LA-based) singer excels at. After the break-out success of his minimalist EP Berlin, Ry decided to set up new projects – Howling and The Acid. His debut album Dawn was released in 2016.
