Annabelle Plum and Žaneta Vítová play original music for experimental voice and accordion. Their music is filled with a strange soundscape poetics that winds between everyday events and intense emotions. Their work interweaves composed movements with free improvisation. The duo uses extended techniques on their instruments and draws inspiration from both European traditions and influences from the world music.
Singer Annabelle Plum's vocal range ranges from soprano to unusual depths of feminine contralto in a wide range of timbres. Accordionist Žaneta Vítová finds her roots in jazz and contemporary music. Outside of this project, both Plum and Vítová have their own solo careers and perform with renowned orchestras and ensembles in the Czech Republic and beyond. Their captivating performances draw listeners into unfamiliar worlds where harmony coexists with feminine fragility and unbridled wildness.
Their debut album Interference was released in 2021 on Ma Records.
