Endemit are a progressive band from Brno. Instrument-wise, they resemble Mötorhead or any other mushy garage-based group. Nothing else is sacred for a band that has taken on the legacy of the New York downtown avant-garde scene. Moments on the two albums released so far are reminiscent of Black Midi and King Crimson, or the early work of the Medeski, Martin and Wood trio, and the anticipated third album, SALAMI TIGER, promises a similarly varied listening experience. Riffs as sharp as a hangman's whip and the whole thing twists and turns like a wine sausage. A long story between the first baguette and the fifth beer at the petrol station, where you were attracted by an unpleasant parallel. The distinctive guitarist Vít Beneš, the imaginative bassist Vlado Micenko and the uncompromising drummer Erik Hajtmánek have been touring both punk clubs and jazz festivals, and their authenticity, wit and skill have been a hit with all audiences.
