info

Mighty Oaks is an indie-folk rock trio consisting of American Ian Hooper, Englishman Craig Saunders, and Italian Claudio Donzelli. As gifted solo musicians, they met in Berlin, which they chose primarily for its creative atmosphere. It didn’t take long and in 2010 they formed the band Mighty Oaks, which is the result of a shared love of music. The band is known for its melodic songs, in which they combine embers of pop, folk, and rock. The fact that this trio of musicians harmonizes and sings well together is indisputable.

They released their first EP ‘Just One Day’ in the summer of 2012 and their debut album “Howl” was released in 2014. Mighty Oaks also found success outside of Germany. This was followed by the successful albums “Dreams” (2017), “All Things Go” (2020) and “Mexico” (2021). The albums are full of emotional songs, harmonious melodies, and lyrics that resonate with listeners for a long time. The music magazine Rock & All wrote about them: “Mighty Oaks are a folk hit factory.”

Lead-singer Ian Hooper says, “There is no better way to present what we do than acoustically, in its purest form. It’s a fantastic opportunity to reestablish a connection with our fans – or anyone who loves hand-made, authentic music for that matter. And so many of the venues are magical.”

The comfortable and emotional atmosphere of Mighty Oaks’ live performances fills the audience with positive energy. See for yourself on October 3, 2024 at the Akropolis Palace. We guarantee that you will be humming their songs long after the concert.
