info Lucy Kruger & The Lost Boys Alternative art pop band based in Berlin, founded by talented singer-songwriter Lucy Kruger from South Africa. With their unforgettable live performances and intense atmosphere, they have attracted the attention of audiences and critics alike. Following the release of their debut album Summer's Not That Simple (2015), they have been invited to perform at some of the country's most acclaimed festivals including Endless Daze, Oppikoppi, Rocking The Daisies and Up The Creek. Since then, they've managed to release several quality albums. Their latest album, Heaving, oscillates between intimacy and euphoria, and its raw atmosphere can at times recall names like PJ Harvey, Hole and Garbage. Lucy wanted to expand, stretch and dramatise her approach to songwriting on this album – to push her voice and performance until something new appeared. Once she’d found the seed of something worth exploring, she and the band would start introducing instrumentation to the skeleton of beat and lyrics. In June this year they won the Europavox Spotlight Prize. Founder Lucy Kruger also has worked with the well-known Frank Popp Ensemble and her vocals can be heard on recordings by acclaimed bands such as The Undeground Youth and Swans. Cold Venus Revisited Prague-based music project that touches on various musical genres, from dark noise psychedelic sound to shoegaze and post-punk. To create their sound and style, the band takes inspiration from a large spectrum of art, primarily the 70s and 80s punk scene, including The Velvet Underground, Spacemen 3 and Kino. Cold Venus Revisited sees music as an escape from dystopian reality, creating a sound characterized by existential lyrics and melancholy noise. dominik prok Has recently released a (noiseless) solo album, which is the culmination of his long-term dream of independent artistic realization. The album Not a Rescue Mission, We Are Safe is Slovakia's answer to the tradition of American or British songwriting, of which Proky is a big fan and admirer. However, it is not a mindless copy. It is an honest account of one chapter of his life, which he deals with in his own way. Music. The title of the album, There is no rescue mission, we are safe, is a reference to a poem or series of poems heard in his popular miniseries/story Station 11, based on the book by Emily St. John Mandel. „There's nothing you won't survive because there's nothing you won't do…“. „What was lost in the collapse: almost everything, almost everyone, but there's still such beauty.“ That sounds about right. It's a sliver of hope in a man-made dystopia. Dominik Prok is a musician and singer born in Vranov nad Topľou who is dying in New York. – Renát Khallo. The afterparty will take place at the Small Hall in cooperation with Akropolis Underground. New music series called „woodoo“ presents bands through genres such as post-punk, garage-rock, noise-rock, shoegaze, electronic, doom metal and experimental „woodoo“ rap—floating somewhere between them and beyond them.
