Descendents, the Punk Titans from Sunny California, to Perform in the Czech
Republic for the First Time. The legendary band, formed back in 1977, has had a
fundamental influence on most punk bands that emerged after them. With their
sophisticated and even intellectual approach to melodic punk and hardcore, they
have significantly shaped everyone from mainstream acts like Green Day and The
Offspring to NOFX, Rancid, and more progressive bands such as Propagandhi and
The Flatliners. Despite their intermittent existence and only eight released
albums, Descendents have maintained their cult status while continuing to evolve
and remain a relevant force every time they return to the spotlight.
Joining them will be the raw yet equally legendary Circle Jerks, who stormed
onto the scene in 1979. The band’s founder, frontman, and voice since its
inception is Keith Morris, the original vocalist of Black Flag. Circle Jerks
have played a crucial role in shaping American punk and hardcore, as well as
influencing alternative giants like Nirvana, Pearl Jam, Rage Against The
Machine, and many others.
The third band of the night will be hardcore punk veterans Negative Approach
from Detroit, USA.
