info A documentary film about flamenco CHILDREN OF FLAMENCO If you know flamenco mainly as a passionate Spanish dance, this documentary will introduce you to the genre from a different and original angle. Amós and Abraham are two twelve year old boys celebrated as child prodigies of the flamenco scene today. While the sui generis guitarist Amós performs around the world, composes his own music and is praised by such famous guitarists as Paco de Lucía and Tomatito, the spontaneous and charismatic Abraham is inculcated the rich tradition of flamenco singing in his family and Caño-Roto (“Broken Plumbing”) neighborhood, where he grows up on the periphery of Madrid. This film provides an authentic excursion into the world of flamenco music and the fascinating music culture of Spanish Gypsies (Gitanos). The documentary also tells an intimate story of two different paths to acquiring virtuosity and of the passing of music and life philosophy from father to son.
