The collaboration between the two musicians builds on previous projects set in the field between contemporary jazz and classical music, traditional instruments and live electronics. First it was the Points-Rataj Quintet (CD 2016), which evolved into an electro-acoustic trio with saxophonist Luboš Soukup (Hornscape, 2020). The new duo of Michal Rataj and Oskar Török attempts to establish an even deeper interaction between the virtuoso wind instrument and a wide range of contemporary interactive electronics. Their musical vocabulary extends from electronic ambient through the overtones of club electronica towards the various positions of contemporary jazz and post-acousmatic music.
