Aritmija consists of guitarists and composers Tilen Stepišnik and Šemsudin Dino Džopa from Ljubljana, Slovenia. They developed their unique style, which could be described as world-music, encompassing genres such as rock, jazz, flamenco, classical music and Balkan ethno music, which is distinguished by its use of irregular meter, time signatures such as ⅞ and 9/8. It is precisely these irregular time signatures that provide the rhythmic foundation for most of Aritmija’s original compositions.
