The next headliner of the Spectaculare festival will be French producer Thylacine, bringing his live show that bridges club sound and sonic travelogue. His music breathes adventure, discovery, and a love for the unknown. Progressive electronics blend with elements of minimalism and trip-hop, while Thylacine never forgets his first love – the jazz saxophone, which he has played since childhood. He will perform his eclectic live set accompanied by pianist Bravin Karunanithy on March 7 at Lucerna Music Bar.

Born in the western French city of Angers, Thylacine has been making music since the age of seven. He debuted under his moniker in 2014 with the EP Blend . His inspirations range from minimalist pioneers Steve Reich and Philip Glass to the atmospheric club sound of Massive Attack and Four Tet. Critics often compare his fusion of electronic textures and acoustic instruments to the works of Chapelier Fou or Yuksek.

Places play a crucial role in his creative process — each project carries the atmosphere of a specific landscape. His debut album Transsiberian (2015) was composed during a journey across Siberia, while his latest single Shark Island captures an expedition to the Namibian peninsula of the same name — a site of a German concentration camp during World War I. Recorded with the Nama people’s choir, the track will appear this autumn on his forthcoming album Roads Vol. 3. Thylacine now invites Prague audiences to embark on a similar sonic adventure.

Thylacine joins the international lineup of the 13th edition of the Spectaculare audiovisual festival, taking place across various Prague venues from March 5 to April 10, 2026. The full program is being gradually revealed at spectaculare.cz.
