Formed in 2011, E Converso is a band that brings together four talented musicians of the upcoming generation. Saxophonist Michal Wróblewski describes the formation as genre-open and uninhibitedly improvising. „In our music we work with improvisation in every possible way. E Converso works with mood, chance and emotion so that its formally plastic compositions can and do sound completely different every night. With its dynamic and energetic music with an original concept and a light dose of humour, the band fights against musical conventions.Practically since its inception, the ensemble has been performing regularly at concerts and festivals all over the Czech Republic and beyond (Paris Jazz club, Brno Jazz Fest, Are you Free?, Near, Hevhetia Fest Košice, United Islands, Stimul Festival, Živá Ulice v Plzni, Žižkov Meets Jazz, Slánské Jazzové Dny, Jazz Goes to Town…). At the Stimul festival the band played in front of Colin Stetson, at Jazz Goes to Town in front of the trio Brotzmann – Swell and Nilsen-Love. In January 2014, the band recorded their critically acclaimed debut album "Conspiracy Theory“. A second album, Artistic Suicide/Radical Creativity, recorded live in concert, was released on the same label in March 2018, and a third, studio album, Grazing Dear Satan, was released in the fall of 2022. E Converso is one of the most progressive jazz projects in the Czech Republic, their performances are always an extraordinary experience.
