Vitality, color, nose plasters, and emo. matyášovi kamarádi will christen their new album at Palác Akropolis, joined by Athena Chlebová.

matyášovi kamarádi
It’s all Matyáš’s fault! A Prague-based musician performing as matyášovi kamarádi, he fuses alternative rap with post-punk, indie aesthetics, and theatrical performance. His music balances between a personal diary and fantastical fiction, between inner doubt and total surrender to sound. Expect nose plasters and nods to Slovak emo rap, especially Dušan Vlk. His music has already been spotlighted on shows like Startér, Reflektor, and Rapsot. This debut concert at Palác Akropolis also marks the release of his new album, out this fall. Get ready for raw energy and a heavy cement block of emotion.

Athena Chlebová
A Czech cousin of PinkPantheress and Remi Wolf? That’s one way to describe Athena Chlebová — but a very limited one. Through metaphors, the musician paints her naive yet raw world. Her music can make you laugh, surprise you, or lift your spirits, hug you, and get you dancing. Athena made waves last year with the album LACHEEBA, led by the hit Zajíc, which received attention on Radio 1. Her wild energy, vivid colors, and fierce “kinder rap” will be unmissable at this edition of Pulz.

The PULZ series at Palác Akropolis is curated by music journalist and radio host Vojtěch Tkáč. The evening is held in collaboration with Akropolis Underground.
