The quartet put together by the Prague-based American double bassist George Cremaschi, known mainly from the Prague and international improvisational and avant jazz scene. In the Elma Voge Quartet, Cremaschi and his bandmates (known from the Vertigo group or the Prague Improvisation Orchestra) decided to focus on original interpretations of lesser-known compositions by legends of world progressive jazz such as Sun Ra, Albert Ayler, Carla Bley and Ornette Coleman.
