After line-up changes and a hard-fought battle with their fondness for strong spirits, Hentai Corporation are finally returning with their first new album in nine years, titled Shirime. Packed with hit potential aimed straight at the imaginary airwaves of Radio Braník and Europa –2, the record is ready to invade your mitochondria. This autumn, the band will hit the road on the Shirimming Tour 2026, joined by special guests Atari Terror, P/\ST, and mmnk.

So, what is Shirime? It is a bizarre supernatural creature from Japanese folklore whose name literally translates as „butt-eye.“ According to legend, a samurai encounters a mysterious stranger at night. When asked who he is, the figure turns around, drops his kimono, and instead of a face reveals a large glowing eye where his anus should be. The samurai flees in terror. Shirime is not an evil demon but rather an absurd and grotesque spirit whose sole purpose is to startle, confuse, and completely unsettle anyone unfortunate enough to meet it.

Frontman Radek Škarohlíd adds the band's own Shirime-inspired litany: “Strange creatures are pushing their way from the brown bloodstream into the blooming tissues of love and Karel's Freedom. Shirime! The grotesque slowly turns into hatred. Shirime! The time has come to awaken your neural networks. Shirime, I summon you! Shirime, I behold you! Shirime, frighten us, awaken humanity, disperse the fog of indifference! Entertain us, surprise us!”
