info International rock powerhouse The Dead Daisies are returning to Prague, this time fronted by hard rock vocal icon Kelly Hansen! Featuring seasoned musicians who have played with bands such as Guns N’ Roses, Whitesnake, Thin Lizzy and Journey, the group is ready to thrill Czech audiences once again. Led by guitarist David Lowy and featuring the outstanding Hansen on vocals, The Dead Daisies will set Palác Akropolis ablaze with their high-octane anthems on 19 March 2027. Support will come from The Quireboys and The Gems. The Dead Daisies are an international rock supergroup founded in 2012 by Australian guitarist David Lowy. From the very beginning, the project has embraced a flexible, ever-changing line-up, featuring musicians associated with bands such as Guns N’ Roses, Whitesnake, Thin Lizzy and Journey. This has helped shape their distinctive sound, rooted in classic hard rock of the 1970s and 1980s while incorporating modern production and energy. The band quickly attracted the attention of high-octane rock fans and critics alike through extensive touring around the world. The Dead Daisies have toured with Aerosmith, Kiss and Def Leppard, and appeared at numerous major festivals. Their live performances are renowned for their powerful dynamics, precise musicianship and the commanding presence of seasoned performers. Over the years, they have released several successful albums featuring different vocalists, including Jon Stevens, John Corabi and Glenn Hughes. Each era of the band has brought a slightly different sound and atmosphere, but their commitment to authentic rock’n’roll has remained constant. The Dead Daisies have built a loyal fan base and established themselves as a respected name on the international rock scene. The Quireboys are a British hard rock band formed in London in 1984. Their music is characterised by catchy, melodic rock’n’roll with strong blues influences, piano-driven arrangements and the raspy vocals of founding singer Spike. Their 1990 debut album A Bit of What You Fancy reached number two on the UK Albums Chart and produced hits such as 7 O’Clock and Hey You. Despite numerous line-up changes over the decades, a break-up and legal disputes over the band's name, The Quireboys remain an enduring fixture of the British club and festival circuit. The Gems are a Swedish hard rock trio made up of three experienced female musicians. Formed in 2023 by vocalist Guernica Mancini, drummer Emlee Johansson and guitarist Mona Lindgren, the band deliver energetic, straightforward rock’n’roll inspired by the 1970s and 1980s, combining punchy guitar riffs, powerful melodies and modern production. In January 2024, they released their debut album Phoenix via Napalm Records, a title that aptly symbolises their fresh start. Singles such as Like A Phoenix and Queens have demonstrated the trio's ability to deliver catchy hard rock with a distinctive female perspective and explosive live energy. The event is organised by Obscure Promotion. |
