We are inviting our precious co-makers, collaborators as well as audiences, for this seminar. We look forward to the conversation around the table.

NIE have been touring the world for the last 25 years to 43 countries. We started out in the small town of Mšeno in Czechia, and then we had our first premiere in Mostar in Bosnia.

We wanted to make something new, and by doing that we realized that the work we had made worked also for youth, even though we thought we had made it for adults. It was years later that some of us read Jon Fosse’s ideas of “all-age literature” and we translated this into “all-age theatre”.

It’s possible to reach out between generations with art.

Get insight to artists that have worked with generations, gender, gaffatape and long gloomy times, and also to artists that have not worked for a long time. NIE came together in 2001 with a desire to explore performing arts across languages and nations. Investigating the thematic possibilities and challenges that arise when creating collectively with different cultural, social, and linguistic backgrounds – this is still our most important driving force.

The seminar is for everyone working with or is interested in all ages theatre. The seminar is part of the NIE 25 years Anniversary festival.
