One of Europe’s most original singer-songwriters returns to the concert stage after several years with a new album.

She has been compared to Björk, Nico and Joni Mitchell. She was the first Swiss artist to perform at Glastonbury, collaborated with jazz musician Erik Truffaz, toured with Madeleine Peyroux and Tinariwen, and throughout her career has earned a reputation as one of the most distinctive and unpredictable figures on the European music scene. Her soundtrack for the Oscar-nominated film Ma Vie de Courgette brought her further international recognition, while the album Halluzinationen was recorded live at the legendary Studio 2 at Abbey Road. Now Sophie Hunger returns with her long-awaited eighth studio album, Fall and Rise at Hotel Hunger.

The Swiss singer, songwriter, multi-instrumentalist and writer has always moved effortlessly across boundaries – between folk, jazz, rock, electronica and experimental pop, as well as between English, German, French and Swiss German. After two periods of maternity leave, one of Europe’s most original singer-songwriters of recent years is returning to the concert stage.
