Icelandic composer, producer and multi-instrumentalist Ólafur Arnalds returns to Prague with Falling Apart Together, a project he describes as his most daring work to date. On 12 and 13 April 2027, he will present this unique live format at Divadlo Hybernia – an attempt to dismantle the distance we so often create between one another. The two Prague performances will also be among the highlights of the upcoming 14th edition of the Spectaculare Festival. Seated tickets will be available from 1 July via the festival website.

Falling Apart Together reveals the layers we construct in order to feel safe, as well as the moments when those structures begin to tremble. Together with his ensemble of musicians and visual creators, Arnalds combines new material with selections from across his catalogue in a performance that reimagines the relationship between stage and audience. Following the internationally acclaimed tours for re:member and some kind of peace, which sold out venues such as the Royal Albert Hall, Elbphilharmonie and Sydney Opera House, Arnalds arrives in Prague with what is also his most personal project to date.

Best known as one half of the acclaimed Icelandic-Faroese duo Kiasmos, Ólafur Arnalds is one of the defining figures of contemporary neoclassical and electronic music. A BAFTA-winning composer for the soundtrack to Broadchurch, he has built an international reputation through his distinctive ability to merge piano, strings and electronics into deeply affecting musical landscapes. With Falling Apart Together, however, Arnalds shifts the focus toward something more fundamental: what becomes possible when we loosen our grip just enough to truly open ourselves to one another.

The concerts take place as part of the 14th edition of the multi-genre Spectaculare Festival, which will unfold across numerous Prague venues throughout March and April 2027.
