A key figure of the London jazz scene, co-founder of the groundbreaking Sons of Kemet and member of the experimental rock band The Smile, presents the new album of one of the most exciting ensembles in contemporary British jazz.

British drummer and composer Tom Skinner comes to Prague with his solo project Voices of Bishara, one of the most compelling groups in today’s London jazz landscape, where jazz, electronics and African influences intertwine – a glimpse into how far jazz can go when it is unafraid of the future.

For two decades, Tom Skinner has been a central figure in London’s jazz community. Co-founder of the breakthrough project Sons of Kemet, sought-after collaborator of top electronic producers, creator of unconventional projects (Hello Skinny), and member of the experimental rock formation The Smile. His first solo album under his own name, Voices of Bishara (2022), was hailed by critics as one of the best jazz releases of the year. He now arrives in Prague with his new album Kaleidoscopic Visions (2025), performing in an unusual line-up:
  • Tom Skinner – drums, percussion;
  • Tom Herbert – double bass;
  • Francesca Ter Berg / Kareem Dayes – cello;
  • Chelsea Carmichael – tenor saxophone, flute;
  • Robert Stillman – tenor saxophone, bass clarinet.

    The event is organised by Rachot Production.
