German pioneers of electronic music and mainstays of the European indie-dance scene Digitalism are bringing what we need today more than ever – optimism. Optimism is not only a feeling and a place we long for, but also the title of their new album.

Digitalism will spread the urgent energy of Optimism through the new record as well as through live performances across Europe.

The DIY spirit, the energy of the present moment, and zero tolerance for boredom – all of this has been essential to Digitalism’s work since the time when, more than twenty years ago, they created their first track and quickly broke through on the cult French label Kitsuné.

The album Optimism is the logical result of the duo’s gradual development. Ever since their breakthrough record Idealism (2007), they have been winning fans with an energetic sound that blends club electronics, indie rock and strong melodies. It was from this album that their best-known tracks Zdarlight and Pogo originated – songs that became anthems of the electro-indie generation of the time.

The project is led by producers Jens Moelle and Ismail Tüfekçi, known for intense live performances filled with synthesizers, pulsating beats and festival energy. They have performed at some of the world’s biggest festivals and created remixes for numerous prominent names from both the electronic and indie scenes. With the new album Optimism, they confirm that their music still carries the same power to get audiences dancing all over the world.
