Do you have a hard drive full of musical ideas that rarely make it to the finish line? Does a studio packed with gear paralyze rather than inspire you? Are you struggling to maintain objectivity about your own work? This workshop focuses on what is often overlooked – the mindset behind creativity, decision-making, and building an effective workflow.

The workshop is based on the personal journey of Jan Hanák, aka Sonority, who experienced creative block, label rejections and stagnation before finding a sustainable creative process leading to successful releases, theatre compositions and international recognition. Participants will explore a practical creative workflow guiding them from the initial idea to a finished master – without falling into the trap of endless tweaking and perfectionism.

The goal is to transform frustration from unfinished projects into confidence and joy in creation, and to develop a mindset that allows you to truly finish and release your music.

This workshop is intended for:
– composers and producers with solid technical skills held back by mental blocks or habits
– intermediate DAW users struggling with arrangement and structure
– advanced and professional musicians facing stagnation, perfectionism or performance pressure
– producers suffering from “unfinished project syndrome”

Genre does not matter – techno, ambient, pop or experimental. This workshop is not about DAW techniques, but about creative thinking and process.

About the lecturer:
Jan Hanák (Sonority) has been active on the Czech electronic music scene for over a decade. His work spans melodic techno, deep house and experimental electronics, as well as music for dance and theatre productions with neoclassical and minimalist influences. He has released music on labels such as Manual, Einmusika, TRAUM Schallplatten and Rune, and performed at festivals including Colours of Ostrava, Let It Roll, United Islands, Wilsonic and Electronic Beats.
