Kaz Hawkins, the talented singer and songwriter from Belfast, is set to make her debut in the Czech Republic on April 17, where she will present her emotional and inspiring live show MY LIFE AND I. This duo live performance is Kaz’s most personal and heartfelt project, resonating deeply with women of all ages.

Who is Kaz Hawkins? Kaz Hawkins hails from Belfast, a city shaped by the harsh realities of civil conflict. Her life story is one of incredible resilience and transformation. As a child, she endured abuse from her father, and later in life, she faced domestic violence from a partner, which led her into drug addiction as a means of escaping her trauma.

The turning point in her life came after a brutal incident where her abusive partner attempted to murder her by slitting her throat, leaving her to bleed out. Miraculously, she survived, sought help, and realized she had been given a second chance at life. Determined to share her story and inspire others, Kaz credits music for saving her life, giving her hope, and helping her reclaim her future. She overcame her addiction and never returned to cocaine.

For years, Kaz only performed cover songs, never considering creating her own music. It wasn’t until 2014, at the age of 40, that she released her first album. Although the album was unsuccessful and led to financial ruin, her fortunes changed with the release of her song „Because You Love Me“, written as a heartfelt letter to her youngest daughter. The song quickly became a global hit, along with her album My Life and I, catapulting her to international success.
