Berlin-based producer, composer and performer Sascha Ring aka Apparat—also known as a co-founder of Moderat—returns to Prague this April as part of Spectaculare_13. His music, shifting between ambient, orchestral ballads and finely layered electronics, earned him a Grammy nomination for LP5, recognition at the Venice Film Festival, and global reach with the title track for the series Dark. After the latest Moderat album and world tour, the time has come for a new solo chapter and the forthcoming album A Hum Of Maybe. Prague audiences will hear the new record live before its release—in a form that promises Apparat’s signature blend of depth, intricate detail and hypnotic intensity. A new chapter of the Apparat project begins, and you won’t want to miss it.

Apparat ranks among the most innovative voices in contemporary electronic music. His latest solo album LP5 (Mute, 2019) earned a Grammy nomination and was hailed by Q Magazine as “a kaleidoscopic triumph.” Alongside projects with Moderat and Ellen Allien, Ring has excelled in film and theatre scoring—winning an award at the Venice Film Festival for the soundtrack to Capri-Revolution, while his song “Goodbye” resonated worldwide as the title track to Dark. Following the global Moderat tour (More D4ta, 2022/23), Apparat returns to the stage solo and with a full live band. A Hum Of Maybe, created with long-time collaborator Philipp Thimm, extends his reputation for layered, emotive compositions where micro-details assemble into monumental forms. The Prague concert will not only introduce the new album, it will also offer an encounter with music that moves between the club and the concert hall—perfectly in tune with the spirit of Spectaculare.

Apparat is the first confirmed concert of the 13th edition of the audiovisual festival Spectaculare, taking place across multiple Prague venues from 5 March to 10 April. The full programme will be announced gradually at spectaculare.cz.
